125 years ago, the Café Museum opened its doors and quickly became a hub for intellectuals, artists and writers of the time. Since its opening on 19 April 1899, well-known personalities such as Gustav Klimt, Egon Schiele, Otto Wagner, Oskar Kokoschka, Karl Kraus, Georg Trakl, Franz Lehar, Adolf Loos and Elias Canetti have frequented the coffee house to exchange ideas, reflect, philosophise and be inspired.
Today, 125 years later, we, the Querfeld family and the entire Café Museum team, are very proud and grateful to be able to celebrate this special anniversary together with you, dear guests! Here's to another 125 years and many wonderful coffee house moments!
